The Rockdale County Foster Parent Association, Inc. was formed with a mission to bring together all foster parents, agency representatives and community leaders who wish to work together for the same purposes.
To promote and enhance mutual coordination, cooperation, and communication among foster parents, foster parent associations and all child caring agencies.
To work in cooperation with public and private welfare agencies in improving foster care services.
To encourage the training and education of foster parents and others working in the field of foster family care.
To encourage the recruitment and retention of foster parents and others working in the field of family foster care.
To seek viable reforms in foster family care.
To inform membership of all pertinent information pertaining to the well being of all children and in particular, children in need of foster care.
To promote community education and awareness of foster care.
To promote prompt action to meet the needs of the foster children in the areas of medicine, school, equal opportunities and others.
Foster parents are a key partner in achieving the goal of strengthening families, protecting children from abuse and neglect and assuring that every child has a permanent family.
